Sprint Cup Championship Announced!

I am delighted to confirm plans to host a new Sprint Championship later next month! It will be the first of many Championships here at Top Gear E-Racing and now is the perfect time to get signed up! Pre-season will take place on the 23rd May 2021, at Catalunya, a circuit well known around the world. We will then head to five more iconic Formula One tracks to conclude what this game has to offer. All races will be completed at 50% distance for this competition, so we are set for a close and competitive season.
First on the calendar is Silverstone on May 30th. A track steeped in history that will provide both entertainment and challenge to every competing driver. With overtaking opportunities down both the Hangar and Wellington straights, there should be plenty of action for the season opener.
A week later, we will head to the quickest circuit on the calendar in Italy. A track that was first used in Formula One in 1950, Monza continues to be popular among both drivers and spectators. A chance to show outright speed as oppose to technical ability often has the ability to cause an upset. Will this be the case on June 6th?
The third race of the season takes us to the most iconic of them all; Monaco. Weather it be Saint Devote, the Tunnel and Nouvelle Chicane or Rascasse, you could name moments in time where all have a place in F1 folklore. From the speed of Silverstone and Monza, toned down to the outright bravery of Monaco, this is for sure going to humble anyone who has taken track limits for granted.
On the 20th June we head to Spa Francorchamps, a race famed for its unique Eau Rouge and also the 1998 Grand Prix where so many cars crashed out after David Coulthard spun in his McLaren. With plenty of overtaking opportunities and the potential for variable weather, we are set for an enthralling race in Belgium.
The finale will be held at Brazil on June 27th, a race familiar with deciding titles in the past. A tricky turn one always makes for an exciting start to the race and sets the precedent for an epic race from there on in. A track home to racers such as Ayrton Senna, Rubens Barrichello and more recently Felipe Massa, it’s no wonder that Interlagos remains a constant feature of any F1 season. The first Champion of Top Gear E-Racing will hope to be on the top step to conclude a fantastic Sprint Series.
To anyone who wishes to take part, can you please reply in this thread below and closer to the time there will be an opportunity to pick team mates and cars. There will be more build up as we get closer to some action, but for now, I’ll leave it as this; fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
