Race Week Briefing

After a successful induction event, we are now heading into the Sprint Championship with a test race at Catalunya. This will be an opportunity to have a full run at all the systems we have in place from rules and regs of the Sprint series but also make full use of the stewards panel before we head into the short season.

I am going to assume that all the drivers given a race seat are happy to continue in their place, as I have not had any bad feedback from last nights test. If otherwise, please let me know asap. I am now going to outline to you all what to expect leading up to the race and for the race.


Monday to Wednesday:

As some of you are probably aware, the stewards panel is open to any driver who applies for a steward pass and meets the criteria to do so. The criteria is set out in the FIA handbook. If anybody wishes to apply, please let me know by Wednesday so you have the opportunity to be on this weeks steward panel.

Thursday 20th May:

As we did last week, their will be a race attendance post on discord so we can see who intends to race on a Sunday.


Friday 21st May:

Stewards panel for Catalunya will be announced. This will be posted on the forums but a link will be sent through discord.


Saturday 22nd May:

Build up to the race, with some content such as interviews with drivers ahead of Catalunya. I will also post any last minute notes regarding the race if there is anything that has been missed.


Sunday 23rd May: Race Day

7.15pm: Optional 30min Practice session (everyone will receive an invitation)

7.50pm: Race Lobby Open (again everyone will be sent an invitation)

8pm: Short Qualifying session

8.25pm: 50% Race at Catalunya


Note:

When qualifying finishes, please do not press to start race. There is to be a mandatory 5 minute break to allow people to sort strategy and prepare themselves for the race. Once the 5 minutes is over, I will then start to head into the formation lap.


Monday 24th May:

Selected stewards will join a PlayStation party to discuss this weeks race appeals at 8pm. This means that any appeals must be sent by then so that they can be discussed in the meeting. Decisions will be based around the FIA handbook.

Wednesday 26th May:

Any stewards findings will be reported to the league. This post will be made on the forums, with a usual link via the discord.
