Induction Notes
Sun May 16, 2021 3:09 pm
Hi all, I hope you are well. Below I will outline what everyone should expect to happen tonight, starting with the format, but also looking at some other important notes for tonight.
Community Chosen Track: France, Paul Ricard
Lobby Open: 7.45pm
Practice: 8pm (half hour session)
Qualifying: Short Quali session, 18 minutes
Race: 25%
Corner cutting will be set to strict, so please refrain from exceeding track limits, it will be the same for everyone. Full damage will also be included and ghosting for tonight’s event will also be turned on. All penalties and flags will also be included.
Tonight’s race will be streamed to the Top Gear E-Racing channel and will be available to watch back after. If people would like to record their races, then that would be amazing and we can use some of that footage moving forward.
If people wish to stay on after the induction, we can continue with some 25% races or even 5 lap races.
Expectations:
Although this is not an official league race, this is the first time the league has got together as a group and there will be many new faces and indeed voices to get to know.
I would expect that we follow all of the rules set out in the driver/discord handbooks, so in short we want clean, respectful racing throughout and the induction to be treated as if it was an official league race. At the same time, it is important to me and hopefully to all of you that it is fun, with plenty of banter and I can’t wait to get to know all you guys, it’s been a long time in the making.
I hope that everything will go smoothly, but as I have said we are bound to find hiccups along the way and the Sprint Championship is to iron out all the issues before we move to F1 2021.
FIA/Stewarding:
As tonight is not an official race, there is no need for a stewards panel. The first stewarding panel will be announced next week for Catalunya and will be a full test run of the leagues systems.
If anyone has any concerns over driver conduct from either a track or personal point of view, please let me know because we want clean drivers on the grid from Catalunya and heading into the series.
As I have said and I speak for some of the other guys, I’m excited to start the league and most important of all get down to the proper racing. Silly season is over, serious racing is about to begin.
Thank you, Top Gear E-Racing!
